1930's

Jan 6, 1936: Catherine& Truman Rembusch purchase the Artcraft Theatre from W.W and Louise B. Aikens
Oct 28, 1936: Frist Extensive Remodeling of the Artcraft Theatre announced with a new front and triangular marquee.
January of 1934, manager of the Artcraft, Fahnley Bridges, raises the price of admission on bargain nights from ten cents to fifteen cents. The regular price of admission was twenty-five cents.
In July of 1934, the swamp cooler, new decorations, and new, leather cushioned, seats were installed.
In November of 1938 Mrs. Ruby Hoffman put on a three day cooking school for a crowd of 1,300 women.
On May 10, 1939, the senior class of Franklin High School presented a three act comedy called, “The Adorable Spendthrift.”

On July, 28 1939 a film deal with United Artist Corporation was approved.
