When I started to learn about staff members’ pets, I fell in love with every story I heard.

Let’s boost our serotonin levels and learn about seven staff members and their pups!

Mike Wazowski
Owner: Beth Guerrettaz
Q: What is your pet’s favorite snack?

A: Popcorn. Our youngest daughter taught him to spin when he gets a treat, so now when we have popcorn, he just starts spinning around in the kitchen until we throw it at him.
Q: What is your pet’s favorite toy or activity?
A: A giant, Target bouncy ball. He chases it around the yard like he’s herding cattle. He also loves to ride on golf carts.
Q: If your pet could have a favorite movie, what movie do you think it would be and why?
A: Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. He sometimes watches the original series.
Q: Does your pet know any words? If so, do they have a favorite word?
A: He likes to be on the move. Some favorites are “walk” and “go bye-bye”. When he’s being obnoxious, we tell him to “get in your chair,” and he puts himself in time out in the nearest chair.

Ellie
Owners: Chris and Kelly Lally
Q: What is your pet’s favorite snack?
A: Pizza
Q: What is your pet’s favorite toy or activity?
A: Running at the park
Q: If your pet could have a favorite movie, what movie do you think it would be and why?
A: We found her out at the Tibbs Drive In as a baby. Her owner could not be located, so we decided to adopt her. She loves watching movies at Tibbs Drive In. Her favorite would probably be Jurassic Park; she is named after Dr Ellie Sattler.
Q: Does your pet know any words? If so, do they have a favorite word?
A: She is very intelligent; she knows the words treat, walk, park, and her favorite word—drive in!

Negan and Rip
Owner: Kelly D. Henthorne
Q: What is your pet’s favorite snack?
A: They both eat anything, but they are partial to Artcraft popcorn! Negan is great at jumping and catching the individual pieces mid-air.
Q: What is your pet’s favorite toy or activity?
A: Negan loves to cuddle with his dad; Rip likes to play with ALL the toys, but he particularly likes his stuffed football right now.
Q: If your pet could have a favorite movie, what movie do you think it would be and why?
A: How about a favorite television show instead? They both love it when we binge watch “Yellowstone,” “1883,” or “1923,” because we are in the same room for hours on end for cuddles and naps; Rip gets to hear his name a lot; and Mom and Dad have the best snacks.
Q: Does your pet know any words? If so, do they have a favorite word?
A: Negan, Rip (although selective hearing; he only hears his name when he wants to); out; ride; sit; no; toothbrush (Greenies in the morning); and many others. The favorite word for both dogs: RIDE, because Dad takes them for rides in the Jeep.

Audrey and Harley
Owner: Kim Moss
Q: What is your pet’s favorite snack?
A: Audrey: Charging cables. Harley: Pumpkin or Greenies
Q: What is your pet’s favorite toy or activity?
A: Audrey: Her bone. Harley: He has a purple lobster that he carries around.
Q: If your pet could have a favorite movie, what movie do you think it would be and why?
A: Audrey: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. “Chewing. Chewing all day long.” Breakfast at Tiffany’s; she’s named after Audrey Hepburn; or Gremlins because she is one. Harley: The Little Mermaid. Harley has a name for all of his toys, and if needed he carries them everywhere (like Ariel’s care of human treasures).
Q: Does your pet know any words? If so, do they have a favorite word?
A: Audrey: Because she is new, she is still learning. Right now, she loves ‘sit’ because food is involved. Harley: “What is it”; then he runs around the backyard making sure we don’t have any visiting animals.

Luna
Owners: Megan and Caleb Clements
Q: What is your pet’s favorite snack?

A: Audrey: Cheese, fruit, and soft dog treats!
Q: What is your pet’s favorite toy or activity?
A: She loves her little squeaky pumpkin, her bones, and her frisbee. She also loves going on walks.
Q: If your pet could have a favorite movie, what movie do you think it would be and why?
A: Lady and the Tramp, because she loves watching Lady being brave and saving the newborn baby at the end!
Q: Does your pet know any words? If so, do they have a favorite word?
A: “Do you wanna go … outside … for a walk … get a treat.” She loves any one of those combinations! She also knows the word bed and loves to take naps!
