Franklin Heritage, Inc. and the Artcraft Theatre members have been essential in our successes.
From encouraging expanded programming, staffing, and continued restoration of the theatre, to contributing to the preservation and restoration of 15 more buildings around Franklin through the mission of Franklin Heritage., Inc., members of Franklin Heritage, Inc., and The Historic Artcraft Theatre have always been by our side supporting each new endeavor we take on.
  • More than 15 properties have been preserved via Franklin Heritage, Inc. and a large contributing factor to this is membership dollars.
  • In 2008, we showed 31 different films, across 104 showings, to over 10,500 people.
  • In 2019, we showed 90 different film titles to more than 62,000 people - a new record under Franklin Heritage, Inc.
Ticket sales account for over a quarter of our operating budget, and membership sales radically contribute to the annual operating budget.

Benefits and member levels
Member benefits included online redemption of tickets, advance ticket sales and more member-exclusive events. You will be able to print your tickets at home, hold them at Will Call, or we recommend you download them on your mobile device. You won’t have to call the office or stop by Will Call to use your membership anymore!

Members will continue to receive complimentary tickets and popcorn, but also see the following improvements:
  • Redeem membership benefits and tickets online!
  • Purchase tickets in advance of the general public.
  • Attend members only screenings. We have quarterly movies scheduled which are free to all members.

Where do your membership dollars go?

They are instrumental in the updates and ongoing work at The Historic Artcraft Theatre. They also have helped Franklin Heritage, Inc. acquire the property at 350 East Madison Street - the location of Madison Street Salvage.
Membership dollars have also helped FHI add 49 East Madison St. - The Artcraft Cottage, and 48 East Madison St. - home of Franklin Heritage, Inc. employees’ office space.

The Historic Artcraft Theatre

Before - 2008: Early progress of a nearly $350,000 facade renovation is underway - including restoration of the neon blade sign.
After - 2019: Updates shown include a 2015-17 marquee renovation project that included updating wiring and lighting.

Madison Street Salvage
350 East Madison St.

Before - 2015: Showing the former bakery and  one-time machine shop just after purchase with cosmetic updates in progress.
After - 2019: Complete building renovation including new windows, garage bay doors, lighting, and complete tuck pointing update.

Franklin Heritage, Inc. offices
48 East Madison St.

Before - 2012: Showing the former hotel as it was purchased, but with new steps. In need of porch stabilization and new roof.
After - 2019: Exterior updates with new roof, porch, and the ability to house four members of the Franklin Heritage, Inc. staff.
