About the Artcraft's temporary closure Effective Wednesday, November 18, 2020
To our film family,
The safety of our patrons, our staff and our community led our decision-making as we have navigated the complications and impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak and recent upswing in cases. In response to this we have made the difficult decision to suspend our classic movie series and temporarily cease large public gatherings at the Artcraft Theater beginning . This includes all scheduled movies and events through the New Year.
This decision was made after much discussion and deliberation. Ultimately, the safety of our patrons is paramount. In a normal year, this is our busiest time, generating the most revenue out of any season. But what is most important to the people at the Artcraft is seeing our patrons come to the shows and filling the house on a December evening. We see the same families who have been coming year after year, and meet new attendees who are experiencing the magic for the first time. It is a pleasure and an honor to share these moments. We are sad we can’t experience it all together as we have in year’s past, but the present difficulties will pass.
